Security takes sexual harrassment seriously

On January 15, the Ebbtide published an article titled "Sexual Harassment: Thresholds of Discomfort" where two students discussed their experiences dealing with harassment on Shoreline's campus. The Ebbtide wants to make it clear that campus security encourages students to contact security when faced with similar situations or if they are feeling threatened in anyway.
What follows is a direct quote from Robin Blacksmith, Director of Safety and Security at Shoreline demonstrating the ways in which security can be of assistance to students in harassment situations.
"On campus, if someone is feeling threatened, we look at all possible ways to make this person feel safer on campus. We may be able to provide them options such as moving a class, taking it online, creating a 'no contact order' between parties, or help with email harassment. We also provide security escorts to a person's car and can give advice and support for obtaining court order protection or 'no contact order' ... we listen to everyone that wants to disclose or report an incident and encourage people to report so we can help to stop any (inappropriate) behavior that is occurring."
In cases of sexual harassment, it is encouraged that students seek help from a Title IX deputy as well. The contact information of Shoreline's Title IX deputy coordinators are listed below:
